75 Vehicles Ticketed Due to Odd-Even Policy Violation in E. Jakarta

Starting today, sanction will be given for road users who violate odd-even policy expansion. Until 9.30 AM, 75 vehicles are ticketed due to odd-even policy violation.

Hopefully road users become more orderly because we will give sanction for those who violate the rules

East Jakarta Satlantas Head, AKBP Sutimin mentioned, his side together with Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) has intensified odd-even policy socialization to road users before it is implemented today.

"Road users who violate this policy will be ticketed with maximal fine Rp 500 thousand according to Transportation UU No. 1/287," he explained, Wednesday (8/1).

Odd-Even Policy Expansion Gives Positive Impacts

In order to optimize odd-even policy implementation, his side deploys 70 personnel in 11 different locations and the remaining personnel are deployed for mobile needs.

"Hopefully road users become more orderly because we will give sanction for those who violate the rules," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Monitoring and Controlling Section Head, Slamet Dahlan deploys 40 personnel to control traffic on the first day of odd-even policy implementation.

"They are deployed to help police in controlling traffic on odd-even routes," he added.
